On behalf of the American Hiking Society's signature trail awareness program, National Trails Day®(NTD), inspires the public and trail enthusiasts nationwide to seek out their favorite trails to discover, learn about, and celebrate trails while participating in educational exhibits, trail dedications, gear demonstrations, instructional workshops and trail work projects

The Friends of North Andover Trails in conjuntion with The Andover Trails Committee and Trustees of Reservations would like to thank those who participated in the planning and coordination of this annual event.  National Trails Day ®, Sunday, June 7th was a complete success and testimony to everyone's dedication to increasing the public's awareness of local wildlife and use of the the nearby open space of both public and private.  The Friends of North Andover Trails and The Andover Trails Committee would like to thank the Trustees of Reservations for once again hosting this annual event.

The Official National Trails Day® 2010 for both Andover and North Andover as well as the Trustees of Reservations is tentatively set for Sunday, June 6th. The location will once again be the Trustees of Reservations' property of Ward Reservation in Andover.

Both volunteer trail groups will continue to plan for this event as well as other additional events as the season progresses. Many events will involving recreation and local wildlife activities that will be sure to excite all outdoor enthusiasts and naturalists of young and old.
