Beginning at a trail parking lot on Dale St, an existing woods road winds through this nine-acre parcel. A bridge at the end of the property connects Glennie Woodlot to the trails at Town Farm North.

COMMUNITY PRESERVATION AT WORK

In 2023, Essex Country Greenbelt Association assisted the Glennie family with their vision of permanently protecting their woodlot. Generous donations and a grant from the town’s Community Preservation Committee made it possible for the town to purchase the land.

FLORA & FAUNA

Mature trees through the forest are home to owls and hawks. The great blue heron rookery is home to 23 heron families.
